About Clayson Country Homes

Clayson Country Homes has been an established property development company for 50 years. We are a privately owned family business that builds both residential and commercial property across Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties.

For many years we have specialised on sensitive residential conversions and renovations. This includes work on grade II* listed buildings and construction in conservation areas. We have also built many new homes in contemporary and traditional styles, from starter homes and flats through to substantial country houses.

Looking to the future our expanded new homes division is focused on building the next generation of family homes, keeping to our high standards and delivering quality to local communities.

 

Our Team

Our experienced team of directors have over 100 years of industry experience, ranging from individual privately owned builds to hundreds of homes on national PLC sites. All of our team grew up in Northamptonshire and remain dedicated to building homes that improve the town and surrounding villages.

 

Colin Clayson
Managing Director

The Clayson Group was founded by Colin 1972. He started building, with a trowel in hand, when he renovated a small home in Northampton town. Although he’s been a few years now without the trowel he remains at the heart of the company, running daily operations.

Andy Lord
Development Director

Andy brings his vast knowledge of all residential development and land buying to the team. From his experience planning single homes to hundreds of homes he pushes the company forward lending his expertise across the board. Andy manages all new development projects across the company.

Claire Moss
Group Accountant

Claire has over 25 years of experience working across a wide range of sectors in SMEs but now specialises in property development. Today she heads all finance and accounting within the group.

James Clayson
Operations Director

With his experience in new business management and history of architecture, James is pushing the company forward into a new era of development. James focuses on business strategy and day to day operations within the Clayson Group.
